Valley of the Family Rothes / Tal der Familie Rothes
1878 by James Stuart & Co., William Grant & Co.
Known primarily as a vintage-based distillery
First released as a single malt in 1987
Allegedly haunted from time to time by the ghost of Bye-Way (see Glen Grant)
Started operation on the same day as the Tay Bridge Disaster
A large fire in 1922 released nearly 1,000,000 litres of whisky into the Burn of Rothes - the drunk fish were apparently very easy to catch and tasted excellent
